Roles and responsibilities of this job

The Quality & WHSE Coordinator is responsible for ensuring compliance with quality, workplace health, safety, and environmental standards across the manufacturing plant. The role supports continuous improvement initiatives, promotes a safe working environment, ensures adherence to regulatory and company requirements, and helps maintain high product quality and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
As QEHS Coordinator, the role will support both Quality and WHSE functions, while providing backup to Technical Services.

Workplace Health, Safety and Environment (WHSE) Responsibilities:

Organize and conduct workplace inspections, safe behavior observations, safety audits, risk assessments, safety committee meetings, emergency preparedness activities, safety awareness sessions, toolbox talks and emergency drills.
Support hazards identification and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
Maintain proper records of inspections, incidents & compliance activities, ensuring data availability for performance monitoring.
Ensure adherence to both local WHSE legislation and Pact codes.

Quality Responsibilities:

Perform Statistical Process Control (SPC) monitoring and actively engage with production processes to identify trends and prevent deviations.
Implement Quality Plan. Monitor product defects, assist in root cause analysis, and implement corrective/preventive actions.
Maintain documentation control via records, inspection reports, calibration logs & others.
Support IMS activities (ISO 9001, FSSC 22000) across functions via internal audits and daily proactive quality improvement initiatives.

Additional Competencies and Support Responsibilities

Computer literacy is essential.
Knowledge of Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) and basic programming will be an added advantage.
Nebosh certification and ISO training are added advantages.
Implement initiatives like Kaizen and 5S.
Implement Pact-level safety and quality best practices by coordinating with vendors andinter departments.
Good communication skills for effective training sessions and group-wide communication.
Act as backup to Technical Services, which require travelling to customer location to resolve

Required Education Level:Diploma Certificate

Required Experience:More than 3 years

Other Specification

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
More than 3 years experience in relevant manufacturing industries.
Knowledge of quality systems and WHSE standards.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Computer proficiency (MS Office).
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Attention to detail and documentation skills.
Familiarity with Kaizen, 5S, and ISO standards.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
