Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

Job Purpose: To ensure timely procurement of quality materials, machinery, spare parts, and services at the best possible cost to support uninterrupted cement production and operations.

Responsibilities:

Handle procurement of spare parts, ensuring timely sourcing and purchasing.
Maintain and update vendor and supplier databases.
Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely processing.
Follow up on deliveries to ensure timely receipt of goods.
Coordinate with suppliers for quotations, negotiations, and quality assurance.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment.
Resolve discrepancies related to orders, invoices, or shipments.
Prepare and maintain procurement records and documentation.
Generate reports on procurement activities and expenses.
Ensure adherence to company policies and compliance standards.

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 4 years

Other Specification

Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

4–6 years of relevant experience in procurement or purchase, preferably in the cement or steel manufacturing industry.
Experience in vendor development and negotiation.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of procurement practices and sourcing strategies.
Familiarity with spare parts used in factory machineries of cement production.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to analyze technical specifications and make cost-effective purchase decisions.
ERP software proficiency (Fact, SAP, Tally, etc.).
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Knowledge of local and international supplier markets.
Understanding of inventory control and logistics.
