Key Responsibilities

Logistics process

Kick-Off new customer shipments based on a network of suppliers. Introducing our strategic partners and their origin agents tour client’s suppliers.
Receive customs entry documentation and ensure compliance with CBP regulations. File and retain customs entry documentation in a given management system.
Communicate, provide documentation to, and comply with licensed customs brokers to ensure the successful and accurate clearance for all clients.
Populate shipment updates in multiple platforms (VentureSource portal and email.) for communications with
strategic partners, brokers and clients.
Support and manage strategic partner and customs broker communications.
Provide updates for “Prioirty” shipments at set frequency
Communicate rate related changes to internal teams in established route nominations.
Escalate all commercial and client related issues directly to the Operations Manager.

Service management

Attentive and swift response time tall partners, agents and colleagues (response needed same business day).
Use of multiple communication formats: email, text, Microsoft teams, VS Chatting Portal - to ensure a time sensitive and fully accurate response to client issues.
Manage all client moves through the VentureSource portal from beginning tend. Escalating shipment issues immediately to the appropriate Account Manager and Operations Manager.
Execute and be trained on customer expectations by lane, via SOP’s.
Work with strategic partners and their origin agents on daily shipment status.
Identify and communicate risks, pro-actively and re-actively, to internal team and / or partner.
Manage and maintain partner-based systems/portals.
Manage and organize the VentureSource Lead Logistics Outlook Inbox on a daily basis. Ensure all shipment related emails and documents are filed in the corresponding folders.
Manage supporting documentation and file it in the VentureSource Portal (ie)
- Invoices
- BOL’s
- Custom documentation (lane or country specific)
- PO’s
- Entry Packets
- Etc.
Clearly communicate updates and information to Customer and partner on specific move requests.
- Pro-actively update and acknowledge information.

Process organization

Perform and execute processes put in place.
Ensure nominations stay within expectations given. Execute shipments to agreed upon service levels.
Manage communications to partner on container booking expectations.
Esclate cost or lead time changes mid – transit based upon the established escalation rules for delays.
Identify and Communicate process changes or deviations to existing or new lanes.
Be able to articulate current workload and challenges within role expectation.
Execute to the logistic process
Continuously provide feedback and advice on all operational tools and SOP’s
Seek advice and execute to new process’ and SOP’s implemented by the Operations Manager.
Successfully operate to client-specific work instructions / SOP’s.
Provide ideas for continuous improvement for all processes within the business.

Be a great communicator. Be comfortable making commitments tour stakeholders and following up immediately when those commitments are in jeopardy.
Be assertive in times of freight delays to determine what is and isn’t possible and communicate tall stakeholders.
Be driven to improve both their own skills and leadership and the processes and tools we utilize as a company.
