Experience Required : More than or equal to 7 years

  • Advanced university Degree in Sociology, Gender and Mass Communication with at least seven years of relevant experience
  • Proactive and independent approach to work with willingness to undertake additional responsibilities
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and work under pressure including extra hours
  • Ability to work well with others and to develop and maintain positive working relationships
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Resourceful in resolving problems and initiating solutions
  • Substantive knowledge and practical experience in the area of gender-based violence, including strategic planning, programme implementation, and monitoring and evaluation.
  • Experience working with the UN System and with donors 
  • Excellent communications and writing skills in English

Job Description

Responsible for the management of project activities ensuring quality and effective and efficient implementation of project activities through implementing partner agencies (IPs) in close collaboration with provincial, and district-level government authorities, local and national stakeholders. We are seeking candidates that transform, inspire and deliver high impact and sustained results; we need staff who are transparent, exceptional in how they manage the resources entrusted to them and who commit to deliver excellence in programme results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and implement project activities
  • Regular coordination and communication of project activities with the Donor agency
  • Develop work plan and procedural guidelines of each project event as per project(s) documents
  • Support to review and update of existing communication materials and manual on gender transformative messages and ensure project visibility
  • Technical support for knowledge management and communication
  • Technical support for dissemination for project visibility
  • Monitor and keep records and documents of project activities in detail
  • Involve in media mobilization and information dissemination
  • Prepare activity and project reports
  • Collect, collate and present the M&E data and information of the project
  • Coordinate and participate in provincial and district level review meetings with government and non-government stakeholders
  • Draft proposal and concept notes for potential projects
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by President and Supervisor
