Tara Oriental is seeking a Production Assistant to join our dynamic and growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about textiles and fashion production to gain hands-on experience with one of Nepal’s leading luxury cashmere manufacturers.

As a Production Assistant, you will support our day-to-day production operations and assist our managers in maintaining smooth workflows across departments. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring that our high-quality knitwear and woven cashmere products meet excellence at every stage—from raw materials to finished garments.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct support to Production Managers in executing daily operational tasks, including the preparation of order sheets, gate passes, and specification sheets.
Assist in monitoring and managing the end-to-end production cycle of client orders to ensure timely delivery and workflow efficiency.
Support the Quality Control team in inspecting finished goods, ensuring all products meet the brand’s standards of excellence before dispatch.
Collaborate with the team on sample development, including pattern-making and revisions based on feedback.
Maintain accurate documentation of production flow between departments to ensure alignment with production timelines and shipping schedules.
Aid in supervising the packaging and labeling process, ensuring orders are correctly prepared for shipment.
Conduct garment measurements to verify alignment with the specifications outlined in the approved tech packs.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than or equal to 1 year

Other Specification

Diploma/Degree in Textile Technology, Fashion Design, Garment Manufacturing, or related field.
Candidates with experience in designs or production projects with design-focused roles will be prioritized.
Candidates with at least 1–2 years in textile production, apparel manufacturing, or fashion design (experience with pashmina/woven fabrics is a plus)

Technical Skills:

Familiarity with various fabrics.
Knowledge in fabric sewing, garment construction, and garment measurements for men and women.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Strong English written and verbal communication.

Soft Skills:

Strong attention to detail, organized, self-starter, teamwork, time management, proactive, and problem-solving.

Preferred (Bonus Skills):

Understanding of garment construction for men and women, knitwear, or weaving techniques
Knowledge of sustainable and ethical textile production practices
