Job Description

Job Summary:

You will be responsible for the overall management of the operations in our company. You will have to handle critical functions such as procurement and inventory control, general administration and internal IT. You will oversee these critical functions with a focus on improving them so as to better serve the internal customers. You will report directly to the Managing Director.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Achieve financial objectives by anticipating requirements, budget preparation; scheduling expenditures, monitoring costs, analyzing variances and performing cost benefit analysis on internal programs
  • Oversee and improve the overall operational management, planning, systems and controls
  • Implement operational improvement processes and systems to reduce inventory, increase throughput and minimize cost
  • Sourcing, negotiating and managing the purchase of all materials and assets
  • Interface with the finance department for budgeting and financing of procurement
  • Management of supply chain and logistics system
  • Management and monitoring the work of outsourced staff
  • Supervise, coach and guide the operations department

Requirements:

  • Graduate from a reputed university with minimum 5 years of experience in Operations and administrative support in a sizeable organization
  • Experience of negotiating with external suppliers to secure the best service deals
  • Knowledge of business, quality management, financial and accounting principles and practices
  • Ability to form good working relationships with a wide range of groups and individuals
  • Demonstrated strong leadership and strategic thinking skills
  • Aggressive, result oriented, service minded with good interpersonal skills
  • Analytical minded and able to work under pressure
  • Industry relevant operations and administration experience will be an advantage
