Job Description

CAMRIS seeks an Intern to support operation team of the USAID’s Nepal Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Project.  This is a full-time Kathmandu based internship assignment for six months. The successful candidate will have knowledge on human resources, finance, administration and logistics in the development sector.

Human Resources: 

  • Provide clerical and administrative support to Human Resources
  • Assist in recruitment to prepare the long list of candidates
  • Assist HR to update consultant roster
  • Assist in coordinating communication with candidates and schedule interviews
  • Assist in filing and documentation of recruitment file

Admin and Logistics:

  • Support on reception management includes handling telephone calls and visitors, updating fleet movement board
  • Support Admin for meeting arrangement
  • Support to monitor kitchen supplies and food expenses, keep expenditure record of staff lunch
  • Assist in office management and day-to-day administration
  • Provide logistical support for arranging hotel, ticket, accommodation and vehicle rental for field travel
  • Assist in setting up meetings, workshops, help with logistics 
  • Assist in update inventory list and maintain a proper recording system
  • Assist operation team to conduct physical verification of assets
  • Support for filing and organizing on financial and administrative files
  • Support on official faxing, photocopy and scanning as required
  • Assist in carrying out all operations required for authorizing and effectuating expenditures under all types of funding and ensuring the most rational use of those funds

Finance 

  • Assist in arranging documents for making a payment to a vendor
  • Assist in communicating vendors for payments 
  • Support for filing the financial documents 
  • Support on tax and VAT refund 
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Specification

  • Be enrolled in the final academic year of a bachelor’s degree in management is required, be enrolled in a master’s degree in Management is preferred
  • Good knowledge of administration, finance and human resources areas in the national and international organization
  • Ability to work individually or as a team
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Highly organized and efficient with excellent attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe
