Position Purpose:

This position, working very closely with the Sales and Marketing teams, will develop customer relationship with key accounts focusing specifically on all aspects of category management, selling and negotiation plan development, customer performance evaluation, and distribution related issues in order to thrive in the highly competitive and ever-changing market environment.

Position Requirements:

Education: Bachelor / Master Degree

Work experience: 

4-5 years of experience in FMCG marketing and sales functions, good commercial, key accounts management, trade & financial planning skills, brand program development, understanding of direct marketing (including consumer relationship marketing), trade marketing skills and distribution planning to increase distribution efficiency; Good knowledge of legislation, external relations, marketing standards in tobacco industry

Location: Kathmandu 

Others: Fluent in English; Adept in MS applications and operations



Job Description

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Works in close collaboration with the Sales and Marketing teams in order to ensure alignment of consumer, trade, channel and distribution plans, and guarantee the development of integrated activities
  • Translates Sales and Marketing strategy into detailed channel plans including account prioritization, category management, and distribution in line with KPIs; Develops appropriate programs that best deliver the brand’s objectives
  • Tracks performance against agreed strategies and recommends corrective action when necessary
  • Utilizes data to understand what is happening in the market, what the competition is doing, and what trends are emerging in the marketplace in order to develop the most effective plans within the confines of legislation
  • Develops evaluation metrics before program implementation, monitors real-time program effectiveness, and measures post-event program effectiveness; Combines activity and program level evaluation, captures best practices, and shares across the Sales and Marketing teams
  • Oversees the management of business partnerships with key accounts to define plans in order to achieve KPIs and plan objectives
  • Implements category management with key accounts in order to achieve win-win situations; Responsible in managing sales & negotiations of KA partners
  • Collects competitive/account information and reports to the immediate superio
