Roles and responsibilities of this job

The MIS Officer is responsible for collecting, compiling, analyzing, and reporting operational, production, sales, inventory, and financial data to support management decision-making in a tile manufacturing environment. The role ensures data accuracy, timely reporting, and effective coordination between production, sales, and finance departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Collection & Reporting:

Collect, consolidate, and validate daily, weekly, and monthly data from production, sales, inventory, and dispatch departments
Prepare MIS reports covering:
- Daily production output (sq. meters/cartons)
- Wastage, breakage, and rejection rates
- Raw material and finished goods inventory
- Sales, dispatch, and pending orders

Inventory and Stock Management:

Maintain MIS for raw materials, spares, packing materials, and finished goods
Track stock movement, consumption, minimum stock levels, and reorder points

Sales & Dispatch Monitoring:

Maintain sales, dispatch, and customer order tracking reports
Monitor region-wise, size-wise, and design-wise sales performance
Track pending orders, delivery timelines, and dispatch efficiency

Support & Analysis:

Assist management with production planning, trend analysis, and performance evaluation
Maintain databases, spreadsheets, and ERP/MIS systems
Support ERP implementation, upgrades, and data migration
Develop and improve MIS formats, dashboards, and automated reports
Ensure proper documentation, version control, and record-keeping

Coordination & Compliance:

Coordinate closely with production, sales, stores, dispatch, and finance teams
Ensure compliance with internal data standards and reporting procedures
Maintain strict confidentiality of the company and operational data

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 2 years

Other Specification

Bachelor’s degree in IT (MIS or data analytics certification is an added advantage)
2–4 years of experience as an MIS Officer/Executive
Advanced expertise in MS Excel, Power BI / Tableau, and data modeling
Experience with ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / Tally / customized ERP preferred)
Understanding of manufacturing KPIs and production processes
Attention to detail and data accuracy

Note: Prior experience in the manufacturing industry, preferably in ceramics or tile manufacturing, is highly preferred
