Job Description

Should be able to perform and analyse all tests and should also be able to check the accuracy of the results.
Operate, calibrate and maintain equipment used in quantitative, semi quantitative and qualitative analysis.
Performs and reviews quality controls on testing and decides if results are within acceptable ranges and should be aware of accuracy of the results.
Enter data from analysis of medical tests and clinical results into computer for storage and software.
Set up, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment.
Provide technical information about test results to clients.
Supervise, train, and direct lab assistants, laboratory technician and other medical laboratory workers.
Develop, standardize and evaluate tests used in the analysis of specimens and in medical laboratory experiments.
Obtain, cut, stain, and mount biological material on slides for microscopic study and diagnosis, following standard laboratory procedures.
Should help in other departments also when needed.
Should help in maintenance of stock, inventory and record maintenance.
Should verify reports.
Should take responsibility of outsourcing tests.
Should check pending work and should handover work before departure from duties.
