Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a qualified and motivated Biomedical Service Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical support of biomedical and ophthalmic equipment while ensuring compliance with medical safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead installation, integration, and commissioning of biomedical and ophthalmic systems
Diagnose advanced technical issues and perform root-cause analysis for recurring failures
Plan and supervise preventive maintenance schedules and service strategies
Ensure compliance with international standards (ISO) and medical safety regulations
Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of installations, preventive maintenance (PM), and service reports
Provide advanced technical training and support to technicians and healthcare professionals
Coordinate with manufacturers and international suppliers for escalations and technical resolutions
Evaluate equipment performance and recommend upgrades, replacements, or improvements
Support the sales team with high-level technical consultations and product selection

Other Specification

Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of ISO certifications and standards applicable to medical devices
Must be a registered engineer with the Nepal Engineering Council (NEC) or have a pending application
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
Candidate must hold a valid two-wheeler driving license
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to travel across Nepal
