The Padma Shree Group was founded by Late Mr. Badri P. Thapaliya. A man with a vision who saw the rich natural resources of Nepal could be harnessed and utilized for great economic development. Taking an early retirement from government service, he laid the foundation stone of the group “Shree Padma Saw Mill & Furniture Factory Pvt. Ltd.” in 1963. Initially the company’s main focus was towards the domestic demand fulfilment of timber and furniture. Then, the company started exporting timber and Railway sleepers to the Indian market and Indian Railways. Furniture was a small side produce of this larger business. There was a dearth of quality furniture in Nepal. People, who could afford it, imported them from outside Nepal. It was then realized that Nepal could form a sustainable base for quality furniture. This gave birth to “Shree Padma Furniture Factory Pvt. Ltd.” in 1978.

Job Description

  • Manage organizational sales by developing a business plan that covers sales, revenue and expense controls
  • Refine and manage all aspects of the sales process: prospecting, presenting, proposal generation, relationship management, closing and transition
  • Cultivating solid relationships with major customers to ensure a continuous flow of sales revenue
  • Propose, negotiate, close and transition new customers within a consultative sales environment
  • Guiding and supporting development team towards successful onboarding of new business
  • Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of market trends and developments in areas of interest and relevance to the business
  • Maintain a powerful working knowledge of the direct and indirect competitors in the industry
  • Setting individual sales targets with the sales team and monitoring progress and achievements
  • Conduct Quarterly, Monthly and weekly meetings with sales regarding pipeline status-closing sales
  • Analyzing sales metrics to determine whether current sales strategies are effective 
  • Coordinating with marketing on lead generation
  • Developing your sales team through motivation, counselling and product knowledge education 
  • Responsible for Social Digital Marketing 
  • Experience on sale of import-export goods will be an added advantage
  • Expert in Computer Office Applications such like MS packages
  • Other tasks assigned by the line Manager
