Department: IT Infrastructure
Reports To: Deputy Operations Manager (IT)

Job Summary:

This role is responsible for IT administration and end-user support, including hardware/software maintenance, network troubleshooting, system updates, and ensuring smooth IT operations at Flextecs Nepal.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Configure, deploy, maintain, troubleshoot, support and repair computer workstations, laptops, printers, mobile devices, phones and other computer and telecommunications equipment.
Implement OS updates (Windows, macOS), software upgrades or installs, security patches, clean/remove malware, activate and support mobile devices.
Ensure desktop computers interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems including associated validation systems, file servers, email servers, computer conferencing systems, application servers and administrative systems.
Need assessment for IT Supplies and Services, ask for quotations from vendors and procure in coordination with Admin Department.
Create and update users in active directory.
Troubleshoot LAN/WAN issues and liaise with ISP for the uptime guarantee.
Door Access and attendance device management.
Be willing to work non-traditional hours when necessitated by business requirements or system failure.
Monitor daily network connectivity and the performance of end-user devices and promptly provide updates on any related issues.
Ensure adherence to company IT security policies and assist in audits or compliance checks.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely maintenance, repairs, and procurement of old and new devices upon approval.

Helpdesk & End-User Support

Manage IT support tickets by logging, tracking, and resolving issues while ensuring timely communication with end-users.
Provide remote and on-site troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network problems, escalating critical issues as needed.
Maintain accurate documentation and create knowledge base articles for common issues to improve self-service support.
Generate reports on ticket trends and resolution times, following ITIL best practices for incident and request management.

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 1 year

Other Specification

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum 1+ years in IT Support.

Technical Qualification:

Proficiency in Computer and other hardware troubleshooting and repair.
Knowledge Office application (Outlook, Word, Excel), Operating System and Network troubleshooting and update.
Knowledge on Office 365 licensing and management, MacOS and its applications.
Basics on Active Directory User Management, Admin, Multifactor Authentication, Citrix, Miktrotik, UBNT, Cisco / Netgear Manageable Switches.

Soft Skills:

Provide basic training to end-users on IT systems and create user-friendly guides and FAQs for common issues.
Documenting of IT inventories (Operating Systems & applications), networking devices (switches and routers) and wireless Infrastructures. Preparing the report monthly.
Ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
Provide prompt and courteous support.

Preferred Skills:

CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified, etc.
Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, Windows Batch, etc. for automation tasks.
Familiarity with remote support software like TeamViewer, AnyDesk, or similar.
