Job Description

The IT Officer – Software Support will be responsible for providing comprehensive technical and functional support for the organization’s Pharmacy Management System. This role involves close collaboration with end users to identify, analyze, and resolve software-related issues while coordinating with vendors to ensure timely delivery of solutions and enhancements. The position also includes responsibilities for user training, system configuration, documentation, and ensuring data accuracy and system reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Application Support & Troubleshooting

  • Provide day-to-day operational and technical support for the Pharmacy Management System and related applications.
  • Diagnose, analyze, and resolve software issues reported by end users promptly.
  • Maintain proper documentation of issues, resolutions, and escalations.
  • Coordinate with software vendors for system bugs, patches, and feature enhancements.

2. User Coordination & Requirement Analysis

  • Serve as the primary liaison between system users, IT management, and software vendors.
  • Collect, document, and validate user requirements for new features, workflows, and reports.
  • Ensure effective communication and follow-up on user feedback and enhancement requests.

3. Vendor Coordination

  • Work closely with the software vendor to ensure timely resolution of technical issues and implementation of updates or customizations.
  • Track, monitor, and follow up on open vendor tickets until closure.

4. System Maintenance & Monitoring

  • Oversee system configuration, updates, and backups to ensure optimal performance.
  • Verify and maintain data accuracy, consistency, and integrity within the Pharmacy Management System.
  • Assist with software testing and validation during upgrades, patches, or new deployments.

5. User Training & Documentation

  • Conduct user training sessions on system usage, updates, and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain user manuals, SOPs, and technical documentation.
  • Maintain detailed logs of system issues, resolutions, and configuration changes.
