Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are looking for a skilled and proactive IT Support Officer to ensure smooth operation of all IT systems across the institution. This role is essential in maintaining hardware, software, networks, and digital learning infrastructure, while providing timely technical support to staff, faculty, and students.

Key Responsibilities:

Computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, projectors, scanners, and other IT equipment.
Monitor and maintain computer systems and network infrastructure across the college.
Respond promptly to technical issues and service requests, ensuring minimal downtime.
Provide technical support to staff, faculty, and students both in person and remotely.
Set up and manage user accounts for administrators, faculty, staff, and students.
Diagnose, repair, and replace faulty equipment as required.
Test and evaluate new technologies to support institutional needs.
Maintain accurate inventory records of IT equipment (adapters, cables, switches, PCs, peripherals, etc.) and provide reports to management when required.
Create and manage online meeting links and provide technical support for virtual classes, meetings, and training sessions.
Conduct regular electrical safety checks of IT equipment.
Provide IT support for examinations and assignment processes, including conducting exams, preparing, and publishing results.
Coordinate with teachers and students for assignment submission and grading follow-ups.
Assist students with assignment submission processes when required.
Ensure timely follow-up with faculty and students regarding assignments and academic tasks.

Required Education Level:Graduate (Masters)

Required Experience:More than 2 years

Other Specification

Qualification and Experience:

Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in IT support or a similar role.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of computer systems, hardware, and troubleshooting
Good understanding of networking concepts and IT security basics
Proficiency in hardware/software installation and maintenance
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
Ability to provide clear support to non-technical users
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage IT support in academic environments

Location Note: This position is based in Itahari. Candidates residing in nearby areas are encouraged to apply. Applicants who are willing to relocate to Itahari are also highly encouraged to apply.
