Winrock International is implementing USAID funded Knowledge-based Integrated Sustainable Agriculture in Nepal, (KISAN II) in twenty-five Hill and Terai districts in Bagmati Province, Province 5, Karnali Province and Sudur Paschim Province. The project’s overall goal is to increase the resilience, inclusiveness and sustainability of income growth through agriculture development. KISAN II works with private sector actors such as agrovets, traders, millers, and other SMEs to catalyze agricultural productivity and create competitive market systems in five value chains.

KISAN II has a provision of intern in its program with the following two objectives.

To facilitate effective and efficient implementation of project interventions, either by project or by partnered organizations (partners), and
To improve the capacity (knowledge, skills, efficiency, effectiveness) of associated interns to fit them in to current job markets.

Intern in KISAN II means Bachelor and Master level depending upon the nature of program as well as fresh graduates (not more than two years of graduation at the time of application) and will be deputed in KISAN II program area/s full time for a period of maximum six months.

Intern in Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) Unit

Position: Intern in Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) Unit
Location: KISAN II Office, Sanepa, Lalitpur
Reports to: Gender Equality and Social Inclusion Advisor

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide general support to collect partner’s progress, success data, checklist, and other information to prepare a report, study, business cases.
Support in mapping existing grants/partnership program to collect business cases to showcase in various business networks/platforms.
Provide logistic support for GESI trainings/workshops/meetings (virtual/in-person).
Provide support to collect district-level information, data, record-keeping for Workplan activity- Engage youth champions to support outreach to vulnerable groups.
Participate in GESI training, session, and facilitate to GESI Advisor to take a note, collect the learnings, and prepare a report.
Other responsibilities assigned by the GESI advisor aligned with the GESI Action Plan.

Required Qualification and Skills:

Bachelor’s level final academic year/semester or equivalent or higher.
Have studies or training/experience in Gender Studies, Sociology/Anthropology, Development Studies
Good written skills in Nepali and English is preferred.
Working knowledge of development organizations/NGOs is an asset.
