Required Travel: Frequent field visits within project municipalities

Salary and Benefits: Monthly gross salary around NRS 40,000-45,000, with an additional benefit equivalent to three months’ basic salary.
Working Cluster: Dhangadi sub metropolitan city, Tikapur municipality, Kailari rural municipality, Godawari municipality and Bhuwaneshwori Secondary School (Bedkot Municipality- Kanchanpur district)
Working Thematic Areas: Human Rights Advocacy (HRA), Organizational Development (OD), Inclusive Education (EE) and Economic Empowerment (EE)
Job Purpose
The Program Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, monitoring, and reporting project activities at the district and municipal levels. The position ensures the smooth implementation of program activities, effective coordination with stakeholders, proper mobilization of local resources, and strengthening of local organizational structures.
The coordinator will work closely with local branches, municipalities, government agencies, OPDs/DPOs, NGOs, and community stakeholders to promote the rights and inclusion of blind and partially sighted persons and persons with disabilities.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The Program Coordinator shall implement all activities in close coordination and collaboration with the concerned municipal authorities, local units of CADiR consortium members, and local branches of Nepal Association of the Blind.

Communication and Reporting
The Program Coordinator will work under the direct supervision of the Program Officer and in close coordination with the local branch President, Province Committee, and relevant stakeholders. The Coordinator shall ensure timely communication and reporting to the NAB Central Office regarding program progress, achievements, and challenges.

The Program Coordinator is responsible for promoting a safe, respectful, inclusive, and accountable working environment and shall immediately report any suspected misconduct or policy violations through the appropriate reporting mechanisms. Any violation of these policies may result in disciplinary action, including termination of employment and legal action as per organizational rules and prevailing laws.

About the organization
The Nepal Association of the Blind (NAB) is the only rights-based umbrella organization representing blind and partially sighted persons in Nepal. Established in 1993, NAB comprises 7 provincial committees, 46 district branches, and 2,520 general members. Registered under number 320 at the District Administration Office, Kathmandu, NAB advocates for the protection and promotion of the rights and interests of blind and partially sighted persons throughout the country. NAB is a member of the World Blind Union and the National Federation of Disabled-Nepal and is affiliated with the Social Welfare Council. The organization implements programs related to education, vocational training, sustainable livelihood, advocacy, assistive devices, legal literacy, and organizational development to ensure dignity, inclusion, and independent living for blind and partially sighted persons across Nepal.
To achieve its goals, Nepal Association of the Blind has been implementing various activities in four municipalities of Kailali district and one municipality of Kanchanpur district in partnership with the Norwegian Association of Blind and Partially Sighted under the Collective Action for Disability Rights (CADiR) consortium program. The consortium in Nepal includes the National Federation of the Disabled Nepal (NFD-N), National Federation of the Deaf Nepal (NDFN), Parent Federation of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (PFPID Nepal), and Nepal Netrajyoti Sangh (NNJS) and five organizations in Norway.
