Burn Violence Survivors – Nepal, established in 2008, is one of the few organizations working specifically on prevention, protection, advocacy, curative and long-term recovery and rehabilitation of burns survivors. BVS-Nepal helps and supports survivors of burns accidents and violence, such as attempted homicide attacks, normally using kerosene or acid and cases of self-immolation and attempted suicide, often stemming from domestic violence. We have been able to help more than 8500 burns victims, till date, through medical and surgical, counseling, nutrition and physiotherapy since the inception of the organization. BVS-Nepal has successfully provided life skills and vocational trainings to thirty female burns violence survivors, to enable them to start a new life.

Job Description

BVS-Nepal is dedicated to promoting the overall wellbeing of burn survivors through a holistic approach. We are currently announcing a vacancy for the position of Integration Officer, who will play a vital role in helping burn survivors reintegrate into their communities. As part of our efforts, we seek a motivated and committed individual to support survivors on their path to social and economic reintegration.

Position: Integration Officer
Location: Kathmandu
Type: Full-time
Deadline to Apply: (2025 October 24)
Period: Two months (November to December 2025) with a possibility of extension

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all supported burn survivors.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups with survivors to assess their status and needs; compile and submit detailed monthly progress reports.
  • Plan and carry out field visits to provide necessary support to survivors and their families.
  • Map and build networks of relevant service providers and stakeholders to strengthen referral systems and access to services.
  • Coordinate with government bodies, hospitals, NGOs, local authorities, and other partners to ensure effective support and service delivery.
  • Organize and facilitate meetings with stakeholders, families, and community members for sustainable services for survivors.
  • Assist in the development of project proposals, reports, event preparation, and maintain updated beneficiary databases.
  • Participate in the events, training and campaigns.
  • Frequently visit project sites outside the valley.
  • Provide support as per the organization needed.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum Bachelor degree in Social Sciences or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Sound understanding of Nepal’s government structure, its administrative processes including program development cycle.
  • Experience in working with multi-stakeholder including local to national government agencies.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and facilitation skills.
  • Strong data management, documentation, and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Sheet and docs, and basic design tools (e.g., Canva).
  • Good command in both written and spoken English and Nepali.
  • Strong sense of empathy, dedication, learning attitude, and ability to work in a team.
  • Willingness to travel frequently for field visits and program activities.
