Roles and responsibilities of this job

Solidarity for Development Nepal (SoD Nepal) is seeking a dedicated and motivated Assistant Program Officer to support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of project activities. The position will work closely with the program team, local stakeholders, and community groups to ensure the effective implementation of development projects. The role requires regular field visits for monitoring and evaluation, preparation of reports, coordination with partners, and proper documentation of project activities.

Key Responsibilities

Planning and implementation of project activities in coordination with the program team.
Support coordination with local stakeholders, partners, and community groups.
Prepare activity plan, field reports, and progress updates.
Assist in the monitoring and evaluation of project activities.
Maintain proper documentation and project records.
Support logistics and organization of meetings, workshops, and training programs.
Preparing reports and project documentation.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 1 year

Other Specification

Bachelor’s degree in Social work, Development Studies, Rural Development, Sociology, or a related field.
At least 1 years of relevant work experience in NGOs or development projects (fresh graduates with strong internships may also apply)
Good understanding of community development, project coordination, and development programs.
Strong communication and report writing skills in both English and Nepali.
Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong organizational, coordination, and documentation skills.
Willingness and ability to travel frequently to project sites.
Two-wheeler license holder (preferred)

It was established to support in the different aspects of life of the underprivileged, marginalized and the poor people of basically rural areas.
