Job Description

As an Inbound Tour Manager specializing in Nepal, you will be responsible for orchestrating and overseeing all facets of inbound tourism operations specifically within the captivating landscape and rich cultural heritage of Nepal. You will work closely with local tour operators, hospitality establishments, transportation providers, and other stakeholders to craft unforgettable experiences for travelers visiting this unique destination.

Key Responsibilities:

Tour Planning and Coordination:

  • Collaborate with local tour operators and agencies to create customized tour packages tailored to the diverse interests and preferences of travelers.
  • Develop comprehensive itineraries that showcase Nepal's natural wonders, historical sites, religious landmarks, and adventure activities.
  • Coordinate with local guides, accommodations, transport companies, and activity providers to ensure seamless execution of tours.
  • Client Communication and Support:
  • Act as the primary liaison between inbound tour clients and service providers, offering personalized assistance, answering inquiries, and providing destination-specific guidance.
  • Offer insights into Nepalese culture, traditions, and etiquette to enhance the overall travel experience for clients.
  • Address any concerns or issues raised by clients during their visit, ensuring prompt resolution and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Logistics Management:

  • Arrange transportation logistics, including airport transfers, domestic flights, and ground transportation options like buses or private vehicles.
  • Secure accommodations ranging from boutique hotels to eco-lodges, ensuring they align with client preferences and budgetary constraints.
  • Coordinate adventure activities such as trekking, mountaineering, wildlife safaris, and cultural excursions, ensuring safety and enjoyment for participants.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

  • Conduct regular inspections and quality assessments of tour services and facilities to ensure they meet established standards and exceed client expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety guidelines, and ethical practices throughout all aspects of tour operations.
  • Solicit feedback from clients and stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary adjustments to enhance the overall tour experience.

Team Management (if applicable):

  • Supervise and support local guides, drivers, porters, and other staff members involved in tour operations, fostering a positive work environment and ensuring high-performance standards.
  • Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to enhance the skills and professionalism of team members.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in tourism management, hospitality, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in tour operations, destination management, or a similar role within the tourism industry, with specific knowledge of Nepal's tourism landscape.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English and ideally Nepali or other local languages.
  • Strong organizational abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • In-depth knowledge of Nepal's geography, cultural heritage, tourist attractions, and adventure activities.
