Import and Logistics Officer

We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Import and Logistics Officer to manage import documentation, shipment coordination, customs processes and logistics activities. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of import procedures, documentation and coordination with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs agents and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end import documentation and shipment processes.
• Coordinate with international suppliers regarding orders, shipping schedules, and required documents.
• Prepare and verify invoices, packing lists, BL/AWB, certificates of origin, and other import documents.
• Track shipments from dispatch to arrival and ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate with customs clearing agents for smooth customs clearance.
• Ensure compliance with Nepalese customs and import regulations.
• Coordinate payment of customs duties, taxes, and other import-related charges.
• Liaise with freight forwarders, transporters, suppliers, and warehouse teams.
• Monitor shipment status and resolve delays or documentation issues.
• Maintain accurate records of import, shipment, and logistics documents.
• Coordinate incoming goods with the warehouse and relevant internal departments.
• Prepare regular shipment and import status reports for management.
• Follow up on pending documents, shipments, and clearance formalities.
• Assist in controlling logistics costs and improving delivery timelines.
• Ensure proper filing and confidentiality of all import and logistics records.
