Reporting To: GTE Manager / Branch Manager

Role Overview

The GTE Officer is responsible for conducting detailed assessments under the Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) framework, evaluating student eligibility, reviewing financial capacity, and identifying visa-risk concerns. This role is central to ensuring high visa success rates and maintaining compliance standards for both student visas and skilled migration pathways.

Key Responsibilities

A. GTE Assessment & Compliance

Conduct comprehensive GTE assessments including academic gaps, employment history, travel history, financial capacity, and sponsor background.
Identify high-risk indicators and prepare mitigation strategies accordingly.
Evaluate applicant profiles for both student visas and skilled migration (PR) pathways where applicable.

B. Document Review & Verification

Assess financial documents (bank statements, savings, income evidence, business registration, tax documents).
Review academic documents, employment letters, certificates, and supporting evidence for authenticity.
Identify inconsistencies or fraudulent elements and report immediately.

C. Student Support & Case Preparation

Guide students in drafting strong GTE statements, study plans, CVs, and declarations.
Provide clarity on financial documentation, statutory requirements, and compliance expectations.
Prepare internal case notes, compliance assessments, and risk summaries.

D. Coordination with Admissions & Visa Departments

Share GTE outcomes with admissions officers before final lodgement.
Collaborate with visa officers and Australian team members on borderline or complex cases.
Ensure smooth transition from GTE approval to visa file preparation.

E. Risk Management & Quality Assurance

Monitor changes in Australian visa policies, refusal trends, and compliance guidelines.
Maintain high ethical standards with zero tolerance for document manipulation.
Update management regularly on risk trends and case findings.

F. Reporting & CRM Management

Enter and update all case details, assessments, and decisions in CRM with 100% accuracy.
Prepare weekly GTE status reports and risk analytics.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 1 year

Other Specification

Bachelor’s degree (Business, Management, or related fields preferred).
Understanding of Australian visa requirements, GTE standards, and documentation guidelines.
Experience in visa, compliance, or migration roles (an advantage).
Strong analytical skills, ethical judgement, and attention to detail.
Excellent written communication and reporting ability.
