Finance Officer

Established in 1982, Bird Conservation Nepal (BCN) is the leading organization in Nepal, focusing on the conservation of birds, their habitats and sites. It seeks to promote interest in birds amongst the general public, encourage research on birds and identify major threats to birds' continued survival. As a result, we are the foremost scientific authority providing accurate information on birds and their habitats throughout Nepal. We provide scientific data and expertise on birds for the Government of Nepal through the Department of National Parks and Wildlife Conservation (DNPWC) and work closely in birds and biodiversity conservation throughout the country.

BCN is a membership-based organization with a Founder President, patrons, life members, friends of BCN and several supporters. Our membership provides strength to the society and is drawn from people of all walks of life from students, professionals and conservationists. Our members act collectively to set the organization's strategic agenda.

Bird Conservation Nepal (BCN), the Bird Life International Partner in Nepal, is seeking applications fromqualified Nepali candidates for the position of Finance Officer.

Reports to : Finance and Administration Head
Duration : One year with the possibility of extension on a contract basis
Working Area: Primarily head office based in Kathmandu

Main Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Finance and Administration Head, Finance officer has to support in the financial management with the major task as given in the TOR.

Required skills and education:

  • Master’s with at least one year of work experience in financial management in NGO or other relevant organizations. Proficiency with financial software and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.Excellent analytical and numerical skills. Ability to interpret and present financial information clearly. Strong time management and organizational skills.

Salary: As per BCN rule
