Roles and Responsibilities

  • Work with the Country Director and other team members to create, implement, and manage Splash Nepal’s annual budget
  • Develop, implement, and manage the Splash Finance Management and accounting procedure for the Nepal office
  • Ensure that the accounting system can provide the organization with quick access to financial information and enables strategic budgeting
  • Provide monthly report to Area Director for the Splash Overhead costs on a monthly basis showing annual budget, spending to date and forecast expenditure in line with original budget provisions highlighting any concerns with regard to over / under spends
  • Prepare monthly finance report for HQ submission
  • Manage Splash’s Financial Monitoring of Partners to ensure partners’ absolute compliance with Splash’s financial management procedures and requirements.
  • Making all payments to vendor/service providers/consultants payments (both Cash and Bank).
  • Managing and maintaining records of all financial transactions (cash and bank) within Splash Nepal office.
  • Handling petty cash on a regular basis and submitting weekly reconciliations to the Area Director
  • Preparation and disbursement of Staff Salaries and Contracted payments.
  • Liaising with Tax Consultant to ensure adherence to statutory tax obligations.
  • Maintain office systems including email and data management
  • Oversee all day-to-day needs and logistics for maintaining a clean and organized office
  • Act as an initial point of contact for technical support issues and as a liaison with external IT support
  • Develop and maintain the Fixed Asset Register and other data set for Monthly Reporting.
  • Support the Area Director on matters relating to staff tax and social insurance benefits
  • Support the Area Director on matters relating to appropriate administrative and personnel related Insurance
  • Coordinate and manage the annual audit, effectively communicating critical financial matters to other management team members and Splash HQ
  • Represent the organization externally, particularly in legal matters
  • Oversee all aspects of Financial Account Management; from maintaining chart of accounts and preparing monthly reports to HQ, to managing bank deposits and payments to service providers.
  • Assist the Area Director in maintaining compliance with local laws, taxes, payroll and finance regulations, and organization registration

Job Description

Position Overview

The Finance and Operations Coordinator serves as an integral part of the Splash Nepal team. They are charged with overseeing all financial and operational components of the Splash Nepal office. They will be responsible for the development of Splash Nepal’s monthly financial reports, payroll, maintaining accurate records for the monthly and annual accounting process. In addition to the financial responsibilities, they will help with general office procedures and tasks.
