Job Description

To establish and maintain finance and admin function at Teach for Nepal and develop capacity in the office to efficiently carry out these functions.  

Key Responsibilities:  

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:


Financial Management

  • Establish and implement financial management system for Teach for Nepal (TFN)
  • Manage all aspects of the Finance including General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Account Payable, Accounts Receivable, Petty Cash, Bank Reconciliation etc
  • Timely and accurate recording of all financial transactions in line with organizational vision.
  • Develop and maintain payroll systems for salary payments
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, manage accounts, and cash flows
  • Prepare annual budget and quarterly forecasts
  • Maintain appropriate control to ensure costs are within budget levels
  • Implement internal controls to protect and safeguard organization’s assets
  • Ensure timely payments of tax obligations
  • Produce reports and analysis as per donor guidelines
  • Liaison with external auditors, tax agents, bankers, insurers and statutory bodies

Administration/Logistics

 

  • Establish and implement administration and logistical procedure for TFN needs
  • Establish and manage all procurement and logistical activities such as purchase, safeguard, and maintenance computers, stationary and other equipment
  • Manage admin and office support staff

 

Other Responsibilities

  • Support program staff and program activities such as recruitment, selection, training, and placement team when required.
