Roles and responsibilities of this job

The Export Department Manager will be responsible for developing, managing, and expanding global export sales. This role requires strong international market knowledge, an established network of buyers, and a deep understanding of agricultural food product export processes. The ideal candidate should be strategic, well-connected, and capable of expanding the company’s global footprint.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development

Identify and develop new international markets for Nepal-origin agricultural and food products
Utilize existing international customer networks to generate export sales
Build and maintain strong relationships with global buyers, distributors, and partners
Conduct market research to identify trends, pricing, and opportunities in target countries
Achieve export sales targets and drive revenue growth

Export Operations Management

Lead the export department and oversee end-to-end export processes
Coordinate documentation, compliance, shipping, logistics, and quality checks
Ensure products meet international standards and buyer specifications
Handle negotiation of contracts, pricing, and payment terms with international customers

Strategy & Planning

Develop export strategies and expansion plans for different regions
Provide insight-based recommendations to management for market entry and product positioning
Monitor competitor activities and market trends

Team & Coordination

Collaborate with production, quality control, logistics, and finance teams
Guide and supervise export support staff
Maintain smooth communication between buyers and internal departments

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 4 years

Other Specification

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, International Trade, Marketing, or related field
Minimum 4–6 years of experience in export sales or international trading
Wide international customer base and network, preferably in food or agriculture products
Strong knowledge of export processes, documentation, logistics, and compliance
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Ability to travel internationally as required
Strong business acumen and understanding of global market dynamics
Ability to work independently and manage multiple markets simultaneously
