Roles and responsibilities of this job

A leading Hydropower Company developing >100MW is looking for an experienced Environmentalist to support environmental management and compliance across hydropower and transmission line projects.

Key Responsibilities

Implement, monitor and prepare Environmental Management Plans (EMP) during project construction.
Handle and coordinate social and environmental issues arising during project implementation.
Conduct and support EIA/IEE studies for hydropower projects and transmission line works.
Monitor environmental compliance and ensure adherence to applicable standards and requirements.
Coordinate with project teams, stakeholders, and relevant authorities on environmental and social matters.
Prepare environmental reports, documentation, and recommendations as required.
Prepare Enviromental compliance chart, ESHS manual based on EIA/IEE and monitor the implementation of OSHA guidelines.

Required Education Level:Graduate (Masters)

Required Experience:More than 7 years

Other Specification

Minimum Master’s degree in Environmental Studies or a related field.
Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience.
Experience in the implementation of EMP during construction and preparation of EMP reports.
Experience in handling social issues.

Location: Kathmandu based with frequent site visit
