Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a dynamic, highly qualified, and experienced professional to lead our upcoming hydropower project. If you have a strong background in construction planning, project execution, and contract administration within the hydropower sector, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Hydropower & Headworks Execution: Plan, direct, and oversee the specialized construction and maintenance of complex hydropower structures, including headworks (weir, intake, desanding basin/settling basin), tunnels, surge shafts, and penstock systems.
Project Planning & Scheduling: Overall planning, scheduling, monitoring, and controlling of the entire hydropower project lifecycle from mobilization to commissioning.
MS-Project Proficiency: Prepare comprehensive work schedules using MS-Project, including Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) tailored to hydro-mechanical and civil components, resource allocation (manpower and heavy equipment), and critical path bar charts.
Resource & Financial Analysis: Work on project overheads specific to remote hydro sites during resource mobilization and conduct ongoing cost-benefit analyses.
Quality & Safety Control: Develop and implement rigorous quality control and safety programs tailored to high-risk underground and riverine construction environments.
Stakeholder Coordination: Maintain smooth communication with contractors, directors, architects, consultants, clients, and suppliers regarding hydro project progress and technical milestones.
Budgeting & Contracts: Prepare budget estimates, track progress/costs, negotiate contract revisions, and manage complex contractual agreements with electromechanical suppliers and civil subcontractors.
Risk & Crisis Management: Proactively address site delays, erratic weather, river flooding, high-water flow emergencies, accidents, or geological surprises at the construction site.
Problem Solving: Confer with supervisory personnel and design professionals to resolve specialized work procedures, geological challenges, and construction problems.

Required Education Level:Graduate (Masters)

Required Experience:More than 15 years

Other Specification

Core Competencies: Sound knowledge and hands-on experience in Contract Administration.
Project Triad Monitoring: Expert capability in monitoring quality, time, and cost parameters simultaneously.
Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills to manage diverse teams and stakeholders.
Decision Making: Ability to make prompt, sound decisions based on dynamic site situations.

Note:

Experience Required: 15 years plus of progressive experience in the same project type or hydropower field.
Industry Preference: Candidates with prior exposure to Hydropower Headworks will be given preference.
Salary & Compensation: : Attractive and competitive financial package (negotiable based on qualifications and background).
