Lo Gyalpo Jigme Foundation is a local non-profit organization based in upper Mustang. Our mission is to preserve the unique culture and heritage of upper Mustang by supporting education, healthcare, the livelihood of local communities, environment conservation and the restoration of art and heritage.
The Lo Gyalpo Jigme Foundation (LGJF) was conceived in 1994 and officially registered in 2002. We are committed to the preservation and promotion of the tradition, medieval architecture, and heritage of the Loba people. The Loba people are ethnically Tibetan inhabitants of Upper Mustang, Nepal. We preserve and promote Loba culture by supporting education, healthcare, infrastructure, nature conservation, and restoration of art and heritage.
