Department: Procurement & Logistics

Job Summary:

The Senior Procurement Officer will be responsible for leading and managing all procurement and supply chain activities related to hydropower and infrastructure projects under Bhugol Infrastructure Company Pvt. Ltd. This includes vendor management, market analysis, cost evaluation, material quality assurance, dispatch and payment planning, inventory control, and coordination with project sites to ensure timely material delivery and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement & Marketing:

Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers and vendors for hydropower and construction materials.
Conduct regular market analysis and rate comparisons to ensure competitive pricing.
Prepare and update cost comparison sheets for management review.
Negotiate rates, delivery terms, and quality standards with suppliers.

Cost & Quality Management:

Monitor material and service costs across projects and provide monthly cost analysis reports.
Ensure all procured materials meet required quality standards and specifications.
Coordinate with project teams for quality inspections and feedback.

Dispatch & Payment Planning:

Prepare and oversee material dispatch schedules as per project requirements.
Plan and monitor supplier payments in coordination with the finance department.
Maintain records of purchase orders, goods received, and vendor performance.

Inventory & Store Control:

Supervise central and site-level inventory management.
Ensure optimal stock levels are maintained to avoid shortages or overstocking.
Review and verify daily and weekly stock reports from site stores.

Team Leadership & Coordination:

Lead and manage the procurement and logistics team.
Provide training, guidance, and performance evaluation of procurement staff.
Coordinate with the project, accounts, and mechanical departments for smooth operations.

Reporting & Documentation:

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly procurement and inventory status reports for submission to the Director.
Maintain proper documentation for audit and compliance purposes.

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 6 years

Other Specification

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies (BBS) or equivalent (preferably in Management, Supply Chain, or Engineering).
Experience: Minimum 6–10 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management, preferably in hydropower, construction, or infrastructure projects.

Skills Required:

Strong negotiation and analytical skills
Knowledge of local and international procurement procedures
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and ERP systems
Excellent communication and reporting abilities
Leadership and team management skills.
