Job Description

Job Title: ECA Head
Department: Student Affairs
Reports To: Principal/CEO/Directors

The ECA Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing the extracurricular activities (ECA) for students in both A-level and +2 programs. The role involves working closely with students, faculty, and external organizations to promote a well-rounded ECA experience by encouraging student participation in sports, arts, cultural events, and other non-academic activities. The ECA Head ensures that these programs complement the academic curriculum, fostering personal growth and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Program Development and Management:

  • Design and implement a diverse range of extracurricular activities (sports, arts, music, drama, debate, community service, etc.).
  • Organize inter-College and intra-College competitions and events.
  • Collaborate with faculty and students to create and maintain annual ECA calendars.

2. Student Engagement and Participation:

  • Encourage active student involvement in extracurricular activities.
  • Identify and mentor students with talents and leadership potential.
  • Assist students in balancing their academic responsibilities with extracurricular interests.

3. Coordination and Supervision:

  • Oversee and manage all student clubs and organizations.
  • Liaise with external partners, coaches, trainers, and guest lecturers for ECA- related activities.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students during all extracurricular events.
  • Work with the Guidance Counselor to identify students who might benefit from specific ECA programs.

4. Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain accurate records of student participation and achievements in ECA.
  • Report to College leadership on the effectiveness and impact of ECA programs.
  • Update and revise ECA policies as necessary, in line with College objectives.

5. Event Management:

  • Plan and execute College events such as annual day functions, cultural festivals, and award ceremonies.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote ECA activities through various media channels.

Working Conditions: The position requires flexibility, including occasional evenings and weekends, depending on events and activities.
