Roles and responsibilities of this job

The Academic Head provides strategic and operational leadership for all academic programs of the school. This role is responsible for curriculum planning, assessment systems, teacher development, and quality assurance to ensure consistent academic standards and student achievement across all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the planning, implementation, and continuous review of the school’s curriculum across all grades.
Design and monitor assessment frameworks to ensure fairness, consistency, and academic rigor.
Establish and maintain academic quality assurance systems aligned with school goals and regulatory standards.
Supervise, mentor, and evaluate academic coordinators, heads of departments, and teaching staff.
Plan and conduct teacher trainings, workshops, and academic development programs.
Monitor student performance data and implement strategies for academic improvement.
Ensure effective alignment between curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices.
Support school leadership in academic policy formulation and decision-making.
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous professional growth.
Coordinate academic audits, documentation, and reporting as required.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Graduate (Masters)

Required Experience:More than 5 years

Other Specification

Master’s Degree in Education or Management (M.Ed, M.A., or MBA in Education preferred).
Minimum 5–7 years of experience in academic leadership roles within a recognized institution.
Strong expertise in curriculum planning, assessment design, and academic quality assurance.
Proven ability to lead academic teams and deliver effective teacher training programs.
Demonstrated experience in maintaining and improving academic standards across all grade levels.
Excellent leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills.
