Job Description

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

  • Oversees the entire budget of the center and keep the track of all the expenses of the center.
  • Accumulate the budget from the Accountant / Head Office as per needed. Ensure to track down the expenses in both electronic and hard copy of PER (Program Expenses Record) file such as Cashbook/Daybooks.
  • Ensure to keep the bills of the expenses safely in the center, need to submit the bills to the Accountant on a monthly basis or directed by the management.
  • Handling the major and minor expenses of the Center. Analyzing and assessing the expenses of the Center on a regular basis.

HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT

  • Systematizing a weekly meeting with the staff of the center. Checking and appraising the working schedule of the staff. Discussing in the weekly meeting about the progress in the Drop – in center, Night Shelter and Outreach Program.
  • Individually monitoring intimately each and every staff of the center. Ensuring that the staffs are punctual in their work and the staffs are working properly.
  •  Monitoring the staff attendance register that has been put into place in the center. Organizing a meeting with the staff of the center sporadically and briefing the staff about the importance of punctuality.
  • Making sure that the Code of Behavior is fully maintained in the workplace. Need to guarantee that the staffs respect one another within the center. Need to ensure that the staffs respect the children, take care of the children and work properly with the children.
  • Create an accustomed and facilitative working environment within the center, create a formal / informal discussion platform for the staff within the center, and partake in providing productive and helpful guidelines and recommendation in solving the personal and professional problem of the staffs.
  • Individually and unanimously sensitize the staff about the relevance of Corporal Punishment, Positive Disciplining, Child Rights and Child Sexual Abuse etc……
  • Monitor the staffs and subsequent mentor the staffs within the center, empower and enthuse the staffs in order to provide better performance in the workplace.
  • Making the staffs within the center believe in the importance of teamwork and maintain intense and radical leadership.
  • Build individual trustable and amicable relationship with the staffs of the center.

PROGRAM MANAGEMENT

  • Purchasing, under the control of Accountant and admin office,  the necessary materials / food for the utility of running the day to day activities in the center. Administering and taking care of the stock of the center. Ensuring the stock is secured and kept duly without any destruction.
  • Organizing three times in a week meeting with the children and the staffs of the center. Ensuring the proactive participation of the children in the meeting. Discuss about the manifold problems of the children, keeping in mind about the forthcoming plans of the children, putting heads together about the families of the children and consulting with the children about the referral for Reintegration.
  • Conducting Yoga classes in the morning on a daily basis for and with the children of the center. Similarly, Conducting Dance Movement Therapy within the center in order to release burnout and tension.
  • Organize various kinds of recreational and motivational activities in the drop – in center for and with the children. Such as, music, dancing, painting and drawing etc.
  • Take part in providing Non – Formal Education to the children in Drop – in center. Assist and advocate the NFE taskforce in delegating Non – Formal Education within the center.
  • Providing radical medical treatment to the children, doing basic dressing to the wounded children in the Drop – in center. Taking the children to the hospital / referring the children to other partner organizations in case of any particular problem they cares.
  • Prepare the monthly progress report of the center and provide the monthly progress report to Management on a monthly basis during the Program Manager and Coordination Meeting.
  • Actively partaking in the Program Manager and Coordination Meeting weekly to review about the progress of the children of the center. In addition, organizing Center’s internal meeting in the head office.
  • Working in close collaboration with other organizations working in the field of Street Children.
  • Carrying out the weekly recreational program within the center/taking the children for an external visit for the internal program or taking the children to watch movie in the cinema.
  • Dealing with the visitors, stakeholders and external people from different NGOs. Explaining them about the daily operational program and day-to-day activities of the center.
  • Working closely with the Nepali / Foreigner volunteers within the center. Assisting, managing and supporting the volunteers in their work.
  • Providing basic awareness classes to the children of the center with regard to the sanitation, personal hygiene, HIV / AIDS, CSA/CSEC Impact and consequences of Glue Sniffing, drugs and Importance of family and society etc……….
  • Working in close collaboration with the Awareness & Participation Programme Coordinator in planning and subsequent organizing various internal / external activities for the children.
  • Participation in training/seminar/workshops organized by partner organization or other organization regularly upon approval from the Management.
  • Distributing the dhal bhat twice a day to the DIC/RGT children / managing the children to eat their food.
  • Database update of APCN & CCWB
