Roles and responsibilities of this job

Professional Skill Required: Ability to operate CADD, prepare lay out interior building arrangements, drawing skills and familiarity with Graphics software (Adobe Photoshop, Autocad, SketchUp, 3d Studio, Revit, V-Ray, InDesign, Freehand drawing, VIZ or similar)

Other Specifications:

Obtain and assemble data to complete architectural designs, visiting job sites to compile measurements as necessary
Plan layout and scale drawing of project
Coordinate structural, electrical and mechanical designs and determine a method of presentation in order to graphically represent plans
Check and assign materials as per drawing plan

Job Responsibilities:

Collaborate with architects, builders, mechanical and structural engineers, and other members of the project team to create and implement a design plan
Ensure that interior design plans comply with building codes and inspection regulations
Finalize plans using CAD applications to varying degrees of detail as required by the project, including design plans, floor plans, electrical layouts, and information needed for building permits
Obtain client approval for interior design plan and cost estimate
