Kopila Valley Women's Co-operative is the for profit social enterprise to uplift the socio-economic background of women in Surkhet Valley and around. Many of our women are graduates of the Kopila Valley Women's Center, many of our women are from the local valley, all are brought together by the skills they share. The Kopila Valley Women's Center was started in 2013 by BlinkNow Foundation.

The goal of the co-operative is to empower the women of Surkhet Valley to become strong and independent women with the sustainable business model.

Job Description

Position Summary 

The Cooperative Manager will oversee the daily management of the overall co-operative working structure. This role will be crucial in making sure all the work runs smoothly by managing the administration, staff and creating a profitable business. This role will work closely with the board of the organization for the liasoning and management of the business. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • The Cooperative Manager reports directly to the chairman. 
  • Creates and approves on the daily operations of the business. 
  • Responsible for creating a business plan. 
  • Assigns tasks to the Co-operative officer. 
  • Creates smooth finances with the updates on everyday income and expenses. 
  • Creates monthly reports on the income and expenses, production items and it’s quantity, number of customers and creates a guideline and milestone of monthly targets of marketing based on the outcome of the report. 
  • Responsible for dealing with International orders, marketing, product development, relationships with international customers. 
  • Responsible for creating new lookbooks in terms of the development of the product in the co-operative and updating website. 
  • Responsible for increasing the customers and creating a quality of relationships with the customers. 
  • Responsible for conducting meetings and communicating about the ongoing situations of the business with the staff. 
  • Responsible for providing monthly reports to BlinkNow Foundation. 
  • Responsible for liasoning with the government and non-government partners.
