We are a leading Australian Registered Training Organisation (RTO) delivering online, self-paced training across Australia. We have been operating for over 20 years and are strengthening our compliance function to support continued growth and maintain strong audit readiness.

Role Summary

We are hiring a Compliance Manager to lead our remote compliance function from Nepal. You do not need prior Australian RTO compliance experience. You must have strong compliance leadership experience and be willing to learn Australian RTO compliance, ASQA expectations and audit readiness to an expert level.

You will manage a team of 3 remote Compliance Officers and be accountable for the systems, cadence and evidence required to confidently handle an ASQA audit.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and continuously improve the compliance function using an evidence-based, audit-ready approach.
Own audit readiness end-to-end: planning, evidence management, internal reviews, corrective actions and executive reporting.
Manage and develop a team of 3 remote Compliance Officers: workload planning, coaching, quality assurance and performance management.
Establish a compliance operating rhythm: weekly priorities, monthly checks, quarterly deep-dives and annual readiness planning.
Maintain a clean compliance library: policies, procedures, registers, templates, evidence folders, version control and recordkeeping.
Track regulatory and policy changes, translate them into internal actions, then train and align internal stakeholders.
Partner with delivery, student support and leadership to ensure compliance is embedded in day-to-day operations, not handled as an afterthought.

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 5 years

Other Specification

5+ years in compliance, quality assurance, audit, risk or governance roles with 2+ years managing people (direct leadership or functional leadership).
Demonstrated experience running internal audits or compliance reviews and closing corrective actions.
Strong documentation and process design capability (SOPs, templates, registers, evidence packs).
Strong written and spoken English suitable for regulator-facing documentation.
High attention to detail, strong judgement and the ability to work to deadlines with minimal supervision.

Highly regarded

Experience preparing for external audits or regulator reviews (any industry).
Experience in education, training or other regulated environments.
Experience leading remote teams with measurable output and quality controls.

What success looks like in the first 90 days

Compliance calendar and team cadence implemented and running smoothly.
Evidence structure and document control operating cleanly with clear ownership.
Audit readiness checklist created, maintained and actively used.
Internal review cycle running with tracked corrective actions and closure discipline.

Location and employment details

Location: Remote (Nepal)
Employment type: Full-time

Working hours (mandatory)

This role works Sydney business hours (GMT+10/GMT+11), which is a start time of 4 AM Nepal time (Daylight Savings) or 5 AM Nepal time (Standard Time) with a slightly flexible window.
Expect most core collaboration and meetings to occur during Sydney daytime hours. Some flexibility will be agreed, but you must be consistently available during a meaningful overlap.

Training provided

Full training on Australian RTO compliance, ASQA expectations and audit preparation.
Training on internal systems, workflows, registers and documentation standards.
