Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Financial Accountant (Chief Accountant) to lead and oversee the organization’s accounting, financial reporting, taxation, compliance, and financial control functions. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership capabilities, in-depth financial expertise, and extensive experience in managing finance operations, ERP systems, statutory compliance, and team management within a dynamic business environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and supervise the accounting team including reporting accountants, cost controllers, and revenue controllers.
Oversee timely preparation and accurate submission of financial statements, management reports, and other financial reports.
Ensure quality control, review, and final sign-off of all accounting and finance department reports.
Manage ERP systems, financial data audits, and implementation of strong internal control mechanisms.
Oversee VAT, CIS, statutory filings, tax planning, and overall tax compliance in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, cash flow monitoring, and loan schedule reconciliations.
Coordinate with the CFO and department heads to align financial planning and operational objectives.
Conduct recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and succession planning for finance team members.
Monitor organizational financial performance and provide strategic recommendations for financial improvement and cost optimization.
Ensure compliance with IFRS, local accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
Support external and internal audits by ensuring proper documentation and financial transparency.
Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and reporting standards for operational efficiency.

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Graduate (Masters)

Required Experience:More than 10 years

Other Specification

Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
Professional qualification such as CA / ACCA / MBA / MCOM or equivalent is mandatory
Minimum 10+ years of experience in finance and accounting management
At least 5 years of experience in a managerial or leadership role
Strong knowledge of IFRS, local accounting standards, taxation, and statutory compliance
Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial control
Hands-on experience with ERP systems, accounting software, and financial data management
Excellent leadership, team management, and decision-making abilities
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple financial priorities effectively
Strong command of English language, both written and verbal
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
