Job Description

Job Summary:

The HR Officer supports the Human Resources Department and acts as the HR focal point for all employees’ queries. He/She is involved in all HR general activities and in specific projects. He/She is responsible for handling the HR administration and keeping records and information up-to-date.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Employee Relations: Developing and maintaining effective communication, coordination, and working relations with employees and with management

  • Coordinate with related departments as required. Answer questions and provide assistance;
  • Keep management appropriately informed of area activities and of any significant problems;
  • Maintain employee confidence and protect operations by keeping human resource information confidential.
  • Ensure that new employees receive a proper company induction and explain them on organization policies and procedures. 

2. Compensation & Benefits: Efficient recording, maintaining, and delivering monthly HR Reports

  • Prepare all employment related letter (contract renewal, income source letter, work experience certifi-cate etc.)
  • Research and recommend different employee benefits program by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends.
  • Provide advice and information to management and employees on HRIS system.
  • Deliver HR reports to manager if needed. 

3. HR Policies & Procedures

  • Develop and implement a human resources policies and procedures in co-ordination with the Manager.
  • Maintain and updating HR handbook as required. 
  • Ensure that HR Policies & Procedures are well followed across the organization.
  • Handle and process different HR emails. 
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

4. Team Building events and PR

  • Research suitable team building activity for the month
  • Organize and coordinate the activities, including the financial, logistics in coordination with operation de-partment.
  • Facilitate different internal events such as sports tournaments, Dashain party etc. 
  • Book different venue and negotiate fees and ensure event goes smoothly. 
  • Produce and keep track of report within one week after each Team Building event.
  • Attend job fair, college programs and local professional meetings to foster public relation and establish a recognizable “employer of choice” reputation for the company, both internally and externally. 

5. Training and Record Maintenance

  • Assist the Trainer in delivering trainings
  • Organize training space and assist in preparing the training material
  • Assist during the training and participate in role plays when appropriate.
  • Maintain the training log book after each training. 

6. Performance Management system: 

  • Maintain performance Evaluation system in coordination with the Line manager.
  • Facilitate and provide guidance to managers on performance management issues and TNA.

7. NC, Corrective & Preventive Action: Highlight actual or potential non-conformances to supervisor or Manager, Identify non-conformance and report to relevant Manger, Follow this procedure upon detec-tion of non-conformance.

Basic requirements:

  • Excellent knowledge of Human Resources including recruitment & Selection, Hiring, Compensation & Benefits, Staff Appraisal cycle, Employees Well Being, Training & Development;
  • Experience in the IT industry is a Big Plus;
  • Able to deal handle sensitive information and to communicate tactfully;
  • Enjoy working with people, patient, tactful, and approachable;
  • Respect the importance of confidentiality, as you will be dealing with employees' personal details;
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and planning skills;
  • Innovative, creative, strong problem solving skills;
  • Team work mindset;
  • Be able to work accurately, with good attention to detail;
  • Be able to use databases, spreadsheets, and systems;
  • Quick learner;
  • Fluent in English.
