Sukalpa is seeking an Agronomist/Horticulturist for one of its Ilam based projects on growing and value addition in Ginger Farming by providing training to the farmers, with focus on organic farming. The candidate will have to provide technical assistance to the farmers and handle all the challenges related to ginger farming. He/she will also have to train and provide knowledge to the field assistants.

 Roles & Responsibility:

• Adapt the training module as per Nepal conditions in consultation with the expert in India
• Provide training to the Field Assistants & Field Officer
• Plan the entire training schedule, timeline, etc. as per ginger crop calendar
• Participate in all training programs, explain the modules to the farmers and solve the problems
• Suggest improvements in the training module with feedback collected during the programs
• Verify and check the data collected by the Field Assistant during the training
• Report to Project Coordinator and the India team expert about the progress of the training

Qualification & Experience: 

• The candidate should have a Master’s degree in Agriculture or Horticulture or related scopes and have at least 2 years of work experience
• Prior working experience on Ginger related projects or research areas will be preferred
