Contract period: 1 year from September 2018 with possibility of extension

Salary Range: Rs. 30,000- Rs. 35,000 

Reports to: Finance and Administrative Officer

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure proper recording of financial transitions including bills, vouchers and other supporting documents
  • Timely calculations and payments of salaries for the staff/payroll, Tax and CIT deductions and deposits
  • Timely entry of ETDS and verification
  • Day to day accounting, finance and administrative support of the office activities
  • Process payments to venders invoice and monitor payments
  • Handle procurement of goods and services for office, including dealing with vendors
  • Support to handle Human resource related task: Preparing annual holiday list, Leave record, Holiday notifications, staff attendance sheet and any other administrative information to employees
  • Support logistic availability to make the necessary arrangement
  • Support drafting professional correspondence such as contracts, agreements letters, official letters needed in organization with proper recording and filing for future reference
  • Prepare and update fixed assets register book and handle petty cash
  • Ensure that bank related transactions are carried on a timely matter
  • Assist Finance and Administration Officer to prepare annual financial statements and preparation of year end accounts in advance of the annual audit
  • Visit banks, tax Offices, post office and vendors as per requirement

Preferred qualification and skills:

  • Bachelor degree in Finance/Accounting or related subject from recognized University
  • Minimum 1 year of Experience working in similar position.
  • Previous experience in NGO/INGOs is preferable
  • Experience and understanding in performing financial management activities in accordance with Social Welfare Council norms and regulations 
  • Fluency in Nepali typing
  • Basic understanding of internal financial controls and year-end procedure. Basic knowledge of Internal, External and Project Audit
  • Sound knowledge on Ms- Word, Excel and PowerPoint
