Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a highly analytical, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy Accounting and Finance Process Specialist. This role focuses on designing, documenting, standardizing, and automating accounting and finance processes while embedding strong internal controls.

The ideal candidate has hands-on accounting experience, expertise in process design and automation, familiarity with ERP systems, and excellent stakeholder communication skills. You will collaborate closely with US-based consultants and clients to drive scalable, technology-enabled finance operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Process Documentation & Standardization:

Develop, document, and standardize end-to-end accounting processes across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Cash Management, Cash Flow Forecasting, and Month/Quarter/Year Closing.
Create detailed SOPs, process narratives, flowcharts, diagrams, RACI matrices, and control descriptions.
Analyze current processes to identify inefficiencies, control gaps, and manual dependencies, then design optimized future-state processes.
Establish standardized close calendars, checklists, and cadence documentation to improve reporting accuracy and timeliness.

Technology & Automation:

Work with multiple ERP and financial systems (NetSuite, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics, QuickBooks, etc.), understanding system-driven controls and integrations.
Use AI-assisted documentation and workflow tools to accelerate SOP creation and updates.
Partner with accounting and IT teams to automate recurring tasks like reconciliations, journal entries, approvals, and reporting workflows.
Design and implement process automation solutions using Microsoft Power Automate, Zapier, or similar platforms.

Communication & Collaboration:

Collaborate with US-based consultants, clients, and operational teams to gather information and validate documentation.
Facilitate process walkthroughs, interviews, and reviews with stakeholders.
Serve as a communication bridge between offshore/onshore teams, translating accounting requirements into clear process and system designs.

Required Education Level:Professional Certification

Required Experience:More than 5 years

Other Specification

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Commerce, or Economics.
Professional certifications (CPA, CA, CIA, ACCA, or equivalent) preferred.

Experience:

Minimum 3–5 years in accounting, finance, or finance operations, including transactional accounting and close processes.
Preferred: 5+ years of experience in process documentation, ERP systems, process automation, and US/global client collaboration.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong understanding of accounting systems, ERPs, and internal controls
Proven experience creating SOPs, process documentation, and flowcharts
Experience with automation tools (Power Automate, Zapier, etc.)
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Detail-oriented, analytical, and process-driven
Professional judgment and accountability
Ability to collaborate across cultures and time zones
Tech-savvy with curiosity for AI & automation
Learning-oriented and adaptable to new systems and processes

Working Hours:

Mon/Wed/Fri: 9 AM – 6 PM
Tue/Thu: 12:45 PM – 9:45 PM (aligned with US hours, remote)
Flexible availability may be required to collaborate with US consultants.

Remuneration & Benefits

CTC: NRs. 90,000 – 140,000 per month (depending on experience and leadership responsibilities)
