Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a detail-oriented and responsible Account Officer to manage financial records, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and support overall financial operations. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills and a good understanding of accounting principles.

Duty and Responsibilities:

Record daily financial transactions accurately.
Maintain ledgers, journals, and vouchers with proper documentation.
Ensure all financial entries are accurate and properly recorded.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Perform daily bank reconciliations to verify cash and bank balances.
Assist in preparing balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
Process payments to suppliers and employees, record receipts, and monitor cash and bank balances.
Manage tax-related records such as TDS, VAT, and other government taxes, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
Maintain detailed sub ledgers, including salary payable, TDS, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Assist in budget preparation, monitor expenses, and ensure spending adheres to the approved budget.
Prepare documents and records for internal and external audits, including vouchers, invoices, and supporting documents.
Collaborate with project, HR, and management teams to provide accurate financial information for decision-making.

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 2 years

Other Specification

Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or a Master’s degree, are preferred.
Minimum 2–3 years of work experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a Construction Company.
Strong knowledge of taxation, VAT, and financial reporting of a Construction Company.
Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, SAP, Swastik, or ERP, etc., and good knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel.
Good communication and coordination skills to work effectively with the site team and the head office team.
Strong skills in MS Word and Excel, including English and Nepali typing.
Must have a valid two-wheeler driving license.
