Roles and responsibilities of this job

Reports to: Chief Account Officer

Position Summary:

Site Accountants work closely with project manager to devise the budget, facilitate the billing process, and perform cost assessments for a particular project.

Role and Responsibility:

Ensure consistent billing and financial reporting at project levels by following best practices.
Maintenance of day to day accounts of the project.
Timely submission of VAT/TDS and other legal obligation to respective authority
Compile and analyse financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts and document business transactions
Analyse and review budgets and expenditures
Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness
Prepare and review budget, revenue, expense, payroll entries, invoices, and other accounting documents
Analyse revenue and expenditure trends and recommend appropriate budget levels, and ensure expenditure control.
Explain billing invoices and accounting policies to staff, vendors and clients
Resolve accounting discrepancies
Recommend, develop and maintain financial databases, computer software systems and manual filing systems
Other duties as assigned.

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than or equal to 4 years

Qualification and Education Requirement:

Bachelor’s Degree in Management Studies/ Accounting /Commerce or relevant.
Master’s degree preferred

Preferred Skill ( Physical Abilities in case of Blue Collar staff)

Should have good knowledge of Accounting software (Fact, Tally, Swastik or other)
Should have knowledge of VAT and TAX system as per policies of Govt. of Nepal
Should have knowledge of MS office package
Ability to work under pressure situation
