Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a detail-oriented, experienced, and committed Accounts Officer to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will work under the guidance of the Finance Head and support the smooth day-to-day financial operations of the institution. This role is ideal for a finance professional who is hands-on, organized, and comfortable working in an academic environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of the financial transactions of the School & the College.
Handle payment management, including:
- Processing payments
- Verifying completeness of supporting documents
- Preparing payment schedules for vendors and service providers

Coordinate effectively with internal departments, external parties, parents and affiliates
Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and forecasts
Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and information
Assist the Finance Head in routine financial tasks and reporting.

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Graduate (Masters)

Required Experience:More than 3 years

Other Specification

Master’s Degree in Business Studies (MBS) / Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Finance or Accounting
ACCA Graduate or Semi Qualified Chartered Accountant will be an added advantage.
Good knowledge of the prevailing taxation laws, accounting standards, and financial regulations in Nepal.
Professional, competent, dedicated and result oriented individual
Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
Good organizational, office management, and administrative skills.
Proficient in computer applications and accounting software such as QuickBooks, and other Financial/Accounting systems.
