Executive Search Unit at merojob is currently looking to hire an experienced Construction Accountant Manager for one of its clients, a well-established engineering and construction company.The company is seeking a highly skilled Construction Accountant with strong expertise in construction cost accounting and financial procedures. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing project finances, analyzing costs, and ensuring financial accuracy throughout all phases of construction projects. This role requires precision, strong analytical skills, and the ability to handle work solely.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop detailed and cost-effective project budgets
Perform accounting duties throughout the project lifecycle, including preparing invoices, estimating cash flow, and approving purchase orders
Analyze project-related financial transactions and incorporate unforeseen costs into budgets
Maintain accurate records of all project finances for internal and external audit and tax purposes
Prepare cost analyses by interpreting financial data and project information
Identify and report financial risks and budget discrepancies to management
Research market trends and forecast construction-related price fluctuations
Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers
Stay updated on current practices and changes within the construction and accounting sectors

Other Specifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Certification in construction accounting is an added advantage
Minimum 7 years of experience in private or public accounting
Excellent knowledge of construction cost accounting and financial procedures
Strong understanding of the construction industry
Solid analytical and mathematical skills
High attention to detail and exceptional accuracy
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced setting
Expert proficiency in TALLY
