On behalf of our client, a Sydney-based multidisciplinary building services and technology consultancy, Executive Search-Merojob is seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineer/Designer. This is a unique opportunity to support high-profile Australian projects, working collaboratively with a Sydney-based team while maintaining a high level of technical independence.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare mechanical building services design documentation, including calculations, drawings, schematics, and schedules, for Australian projects.
Develop HVAC and mechanical system layouts in Revit, AutoCAD, and CAMEL (for load calculations and system sizing).
Coordinate design documentation to comply with Australian Standards (NCC, AS1668, AS3000, etc.) and project-specific requirements.
Collaborate with AGLK’s Australian engineers and designers through digital platforms, ensuring smooth integration of Nepal-based outputs into Australian projects.
Produce detailed concept Detail design and, construction documentation,
Participate in design reviews, clash detection, and BIM coordination processes.
Ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency of all mechanical documentation delivered.
Support the preparation of design reports, specifications, and technical notes.
Independently manage allocated tasks, meet deadlines, and escalate issues when required.
Work across multiple project sectors including education, aviation, residential, commercial, and retail developments.

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 3 years

Other Specification

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
3–5 years’ experience in building services design (preferably with exposure to Australian or international projects).
Strong proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, CAMEL, and MS Office.
Familiarity with BIM workflows and digital collaboration tools.
Good knowledge of mechanical services design principles (HVAC, ventilation, chilled/heating water systems, etc.).
Ability to interpret and apply Australian Standards and NCC (training/support will be provided if needed).
Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with remote teams.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

Desirable Qualification

Prior experience delivering projects for Australian, UK, or Middle Eastern building services consultancies.
Exposure to multidisciplinary coordination (electrical, fire, hydraulic).
