Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a detail-oriented and responsible Junior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations, statutory compliance, and financial reporting. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely tax filings, and supporting month-end closing activities in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate accounting records including journal entries and bookkeeping.
Record and manage purchase bills, sales bills, daybooks, and daily financial transactions.
Prepare documentation for VAT returns, TDS payments, and other statutory requirements.
Handle monthly VAT, TDS, and installment tax return filings.
Support annual tax return preparation and submission.
Verify, check, and book vendor invoices accurately.
Prepare and maintain records of assets, liabilities, and capital accounts.
Monitor and reconcile bank statements regularly.
Prepare bank reconciliation statements and party reconciliations.
Assist in loan processing, documentation, and disbursement activities.
Manage related party transactions and resolve discrepancies.
Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.
Circulate weekly overdue and advance reports to management.
Coordinate with internal departments for financial data accuracy.
Verify accounting transactions and report findings to management.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
Maintain confidentiality of financial data and secure accounting records.
Perform regular data backups and support financial reporting needs.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 2 years

Other Specification

Bachelor’s degree in BBA or BBS.
2 to 3 years of experience in a manufacturing company.
Strong knowledge of regulatory and statutory compliance and relevant tax laws.
Proficiency in Tally accounting software.
Experience in month-end closing processes.
Strong command of Microsoft Office, especially Advanced Excel (mandatory).
Familiarity with accounting software and financial systems.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Strong ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Must have a two-wheeler and a valid driving license (compulsory).
