Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Finance Officer to lead and manage the finance operations of the company. The ideal candidate should possess strong accounting knowledge, experience in trading companies, and the ability to handle financial reporting, compliance, and banking operations effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Provide leadership and direction to the Finance Department.
Oversee overall responsibilities of the Finance Division including Accounts and Store.
Ensure adequate checks and controls regarding cash, inventories, and receivable collections.
Prepare journal entries and perform accounting on an accrual basis.
Generate financial reports detailing various account information.
Reconcile accounts of parties and review income and expense data.
Perform daily accounting tasks including fund tracking, deposit preparation, and reconciliation of debtors and creditors.
Accurately document cash, credit, fixed assets, accrued expenses, and line of credit transactions.
Review and process employee expenses and vendor invoices for payment and report to Corporate Office.
Prepare ageing reports of vendors and customers.
Support the Corporate Office in managing the accounting cycle through completion, including gathering information and preparing required documents.
Coordinate and maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions.
Ensure compliance with TDS, VAT, and other financial regulations.

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 2 years

Other Specification

Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree, or Semi-qualified ICAN, ICAI, ACCA, or ACA.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a trading company in Nepal.
Proven accounting and finance experience.
Strong knowledge of accounting procedures and principles.
Working knowledge of TDS and VAT.
Good exposure to banking norms and experience dealing with banks.
Experience in month-end and year-end closing processes.
Excellent accounting software operation and administration skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Good teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Hardworking, proactive, and dedicated to work.
Ability to work effectively under pressure.

Additional Preference : Candidates must have a two-wheeler and a valid two-wheeler driving license.
