Roles and responsibilities of this job

The Sr. Account Officer is responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accounting records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with company policies and financial regulations. The role involves handling accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, tax compliance, audit coordination, ledger management, and financial reporting activities to support smooth financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate financial records, accounting documents, and transaction entries.
Prepare vouchers, invoices, bills, journal entries, and payment records accurately and timely.
Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently.
Monitor daily financial transactions and perform regular bank reconciliations.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements.
Coordinate with statutory auditors and support audit working and documentation requirements.
Prepare and maintain required documents and schedules for tax audit purposes.
Handle and maintain proper General Ledger (GL), party ledger, and sub-ledger creation and reconciliation.
Conduct timely scrutiny and review of Profit & Loss accounts and Balance Sheet GLs.
Maintain petty cash records and monitor expense documentation and reimbursements.
Coordinate with banks, auditors, tax authorities, and other external stakeholders when required.
Ensure timely tax deductions, VAT, TDS filing, and statutory compliance as per applicable laws and regulations.
Maintain confidentiality and security of financial records and sensitive company information.

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 3 years

Other Specification

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum 3–4 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, or related financial operations
Strong understanding of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial reporting practices
Hands-on experience with accounting software and MS Excel
Strong analytical, numerical, and reconciliation skills
Good communication, coordination, and organizational abilities
