SABAH Nepal is a community based social-business organization which works towards strengthening the livelihoods of financially deprived and marginalized home-based workers (HBW)/artisans of Nepal. By enhancing and utilizing their own indigenous skills, SABAH Nepal helps in improving their economic opportunities and also conserving Nepal's heritage and craftsmanship.
Despite their inherited and/or acquired skills, HBWs are deprived of equal opportunity compared to their urban counterparts to grow professionally. They have less opportunities to participate in the market economy. The problems range from the lack of access to market, market information and inadequate managerial technical skills. If the skills of these HBWs are properly channelized into entrepreneurship through provision of appropriate and cost-effecting business development support services it has potential impact on rural economy in terms of generating employment and increasing income. SABAH Nepal is also helping women HBWs to strengthen their leadership skills, interpersonal skills, dialogue and negotiation skills to cope the biased gender norms that impede their overall growth. SABAH Nepal is focussed both on social and economic empowerment of women HBWs who are invisible, voiceless and unheard in the mainstream of the society and country.

Scope of Work:
The consultant will closely work with the marketing team of SABAH Nepal under the supervision of thematic Manager of SABAH Nepal to finalize the hosting and designing of the website for Bungamati with the objective to promote Bungamati as the destination of heritage tourism.
Task Expected and Deliverables:
The qualified firm will be tasked to accomplish the following specific deliverables
Content Management System Setup and Menu Management System: Provide detail information about which content management system to be used and the Menu management system. The menu management system should be dynamic. The Content management system should include the management of all the contents present in the website. It should be done in a managed way making it easier for the visitors to get the information they want without any hassle. Content should be organized in such a manner that the number of clicks is reduced.
Home Page Design: The home page should be attractive and user-friendly. It should be able to illustrate the location profiles, popular destinations, event and cultures, social activities and lifestyle of the Bungamati. The entire links of the necessary modules is placed out here for the ease of users
Banner Module: This module should include the area to upload different banners to the website and organize the display of the banner in Slider view
Featured Destinations: With the Featured Destination module, various popular locations should be displayed in the home page of the website in an eye-catching way
Photo and Video Gallery: A Photo and Video gallery should be integrated into the website. This module should enable to add photos and videos about the location and its events. The videos should be linked with youtube and the photo gallery should be present in the album type
Shops Module: This module should provide space to display information about the shops/business in Bungamati that cater to traditional products and services. This module is basically for advertisement purpose so there should be a facility of the expiry date of advertisement automatically.
Places to Visit (map module): This module should enable the website to display the popular places and locations at Bungamati. The visitors should be able to get information about the places, its importance and its location. This should be presented in the map format. This map module should be later developed in Android or IOS system with GPS system enabled.
Events Description Module: This module should provide space to upload, update and describe different upcoming and popular events in Bungamati area.
Things to do: This module will help the website visitors get the general idea regarding the popular things that one can do while their visit to Bungamati. The module should be designed such that it can be easily updated through the backend as per changing trends and events.
Testimonial: This should provide space to share testimonials of the visitors regarding Bungamati through this module. There should be a moderator facility which screens out the testimonials but if required in future there should be a facility to turn off the moderator facility so that testimonials are uploaded directly.
Newsletter: The Newsletter feature should help the project/Bungamati to reach to the users who have subscribed to the feature easily. The subscribed users can be sent news and information about Bungamati area through email.
Blogs: Site administrators should be able to post blogs from the backend. Articles from this category will be sorted according to the published date.
Contact Us: All the contact details about Bungamati should be in this module. This module should enable visitors to send their enquiries through the website directly. For that, one needs to fill up details i.e. Name, email, telephone etc.
Search Module: This module should help the users search for the information that they are looking for quickly. One just needs to search with the required parameters to get the desired result.
Sitemap: Develop the Sitemap so that the visitors can have a quick glance about the overall picture of how the site is organized.
Web Statistics: There should a module to facilitate web statistics to find out a number of viewers to the site statistically and visually.
Social Network Integration: The website should be linked to the social network pages i.e. Facebook, Twitter and YouTube of Bungamati.
Ensure that the new website meets the following compatibility requirements: The new site must be compatible with all the latest internet browsers (IE, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, etc.)
